Buckeye PVA Cup Tournament More Photos

The annual Buckeye PVA Cup wheelchair basketball tournament was played at the Big Run Recreation Center 4205 Clime rd Columbus Ohio 43228 Saturday November 6 and Sunday November 7.
8 teams will be competing in this years Ohio championship.

The PVA Cup is an annual tournament sponsored by Buckeye Chapter of PVA for all teams in Ohio and PVA sponsored teams outside of Ohio..

The teams first Buckeye PVA Cup championship since 2006.

The Buckeyes dropped the first game 58 - 52 to the Moraine Minutemen. But got back on track quickly over powering the Charleston/Marietta team 65 - 22. The Saturday nightcap was against what was expected to be a very good Detroit team led by NWBA All-star Mo Phillips. the game was close at half time with the Buckeyes up 28-26. But Gouch began dominating the paint and finished with 37 points.

On Sunday's championship bracket the Buckeyes played Lexington for the 3rd time this season. Lexington jumped out to an early lead but the Buckeyes caught up and took the lead for good late in the first half.
The championship game was with the Moraine Minutemen, the Bucks took the lead early and never again trailed. But it took free-throw at the end to secure the win.
